Synth-pop, italo disco, cold wave, space disco…
This mixtape is meant as a nostalgic journey into the world of arpeggiated synths, syncopated basslines and motorik rhythms, bridging the gap between late 70’s / 80’s gems and contemporary productions. I’ve been working on it sporadically for quite a while, re-editing a lot of the tracks and assembling the mix brick by brick. I first meant it to be an hour-long mix but slowly got carried away, ending up with over a hundred minutes of music.
I hope you like it.
This is the first of a series of mixtapes I plan on doing in the near future. The following ones will most likely explore other music genres I love to listen to and enjoy playing in my sets.

What can I say about Truspin? Well, not only is he the guy who taught me everything about djing, he’s also the first person to get me dj gigs in bars and clubs. But most importantly, he’s one of my best friends. He’s been behind the decks of almost every major Montreal clubs and after hours in the last decade and he just put out a long awaited mixtape of smooth dance music, old and new, showcasing his versatility and ability to move every crowd.
Congratulations on a job well done!
If you’re in Montreal, you can catch him at Tokyo Bar on Thursdays and Fridays
as well as Blue Dog Motel on Saturdays.
Oh yeah, my partner Edith and I had the honor of designing the mixtape cover.
This one’s for Alicia who’s birthday it is today. Miss you and love you!

The single for ‘U Can Dance’ is due to drop early next month, with remixes by Detroit techno legend Carl Craig (already floating around the Internet), London’s electro super-duo Simian Mobile Disco as well as DFA producer Tim Goldsworthy bringing that New York dirty disco vibe, I assume.
The song features unreleased vocals from Roxy Music’s frontman Bryan Ferry and the video is a nod to the glamorous girls that used to grace the covers of Roxy Music albums.
It was directed by Jo Apps of Simian Mobile Disco’s ‘Audacity Of Huge‘ and styled by Nova Dando, stylist for UK pop sensation La Roux.
‘U Can Dance’ is already out on DJ Hell’s double album ‘Teufelwerk’ (german for ‘Devil’s Work’).
